LOOK WHO'S BACK!

2009's Primetime Mixtape Cover

Saga & Prophy, formerly known as the original incarnation of The Squadaz, have revived their lethal combination of relevant trends with their classic style of back to back punchlines. Now known as Peso Bag Cru, they have released several videos and memes teasing their reunion on social media. They originally began their tandem in the early 2000s when they were still in the academic stages of their life, attending Edison High School as 'Street Dreamz.' In 2007 through 2009, they would become the Squadaz, and with the help of the 'MySpace Music' days, where networking within Philadelphia's music scene became an easier task, Saga & Prophy worked with the likes of then-upcoming producer Sarom, and eventually with DJ Set. They would go on to collaborate with a who's who in Philly music, including their mixtape single "Overtime" featuring Reed Dollaz, in which the video was shot by future MTV VMA & BET Award winning director Godfrey Tabarez.

Unfortunately, due to personal matters and creative differences among the extended Squadaz camp, they went their seperate ways, aiming their shots with several solo mixtape and EP projects along the journey. In 2014, the reunion and rebranding of Peso Bag Cru came into fruition while teaming up with Rob Diddy and Di$e in a revival for Hood Real for their projects and shows. In January 2016, after Prophy's relocation to the City of Brotherly Love, the duo finally released exclusive music via iTunes, with an EP titled Michael Pippen, reaching #15 in the New Artists iTunes chart in the Rap/HipHop genre. The lead single to the EP is "B4E (B*tches 4 Everybody)." Without missing an ingredient to their original recipe, PBC approaches different goals in the music aspirations. (More details on this particular EP in the coming weeks.) PBC has promoted the EP on DJ Spontane's S&R Radio Show and have thrown an official listening party at VIP Hookah Lounge, where they introduced and expressed their thoughts and reasons for each of the tracks.

Currently, they are on another social media campaign of #LitCity, hinting towards their next project in the works. You can also visit their site, WELITCITY.COM. For now, Check out "B4E" via our SoundCloud page!
