BEST MIXTAPE DJ OF 2017

Congratulations to Philly's own DJ 2Short for his Philly Hip Hop Award Win for 2017's Best Mixtape DJ! His victory comes after perfecting his craft for almost two decades. He sites using FunkMaster Flex as a heavy influence. Since the early 2000's, he's been affiliated with Miami's Coast2Coast DJs; and in recent years with Major League DJs (MLDJs) and 24K Mixtapes. He has completed several series upon series of mixtapes with titles such as Hood Hitz, Hater Muzik, Smoke Session and more. He has collaborated with fellow DJs, such as DJ Set and DJ Tony2Teks. His mixtape count totals to about a 100 volumes, which is unprecedented in Philadelphia's mixtape circuit. Besides playing the latest and greatest, 2Short has also teamed up with a giant list of Philly mainstays like Reed Dollaz, Sandman, Hollow Man, Known, former Bad Boy artist E. Ness and former Rocafella artists Peedi Crakk and Freeway, among others.

DJ 2Short still currently spins and promotes shows and sets in Philadelphia and has crossed over to outside of the city, which also sparked his nominations for Best Club/Party/Tour DJ in the PHHA in the last five years. Earlier this year, he won the the 2017 Best Hip Hop DJ in the All Star Mixtape Awards. He's most recently worked with Goody Gunz and his RDE (Real Doe Entertainment) label; and even the PHHA show itself. He's earned this award and many more opportunities that will come knocking in his near future.
